Joe Ferguson has been in the trade his whole working life. The company started in 2008 as Ferguson Plumbing and Heating, doing service and heating work across the Nashoba Valley: water heaters, boilers, drains, the January burst pipe.
The heating half never went away. What changed is that the design and remodel side grew up alongside it. Kitchens and primary baths where the plumbing is the finish, not something hidden behind it. Fixtures chosen and set so they look right and work right ten years later. That work needed its own name, and the company became Ferguson Plumbing Design.
Both halves still run out of the same shop in Pepperell, with the same crew and the same standard. Service pays the bills. The hard jobs are why people call us instead of the next guy.

The boiler that three companies balanced wrong. The leak nobody could locate. The manifold that had to be torn out and rebuilt from scratch because the original install was never going to work.
That is the work we are known for, and it is the reason other trades call us. Diagnosis is a skill, and it is the part most companies skip because replacing the whole unit is an easier sale. We would rather tell you it is a $40 part.

$49 dispatch. That gets a licensed plumber to your door.
No diagnostic fee if we can see it. If the problem is visible and we can tell you what it is on the spot, you pay the dispatch and nothing more to find out.
$99 diagnostic if we have to break out tools. Cameras, meters, opening up a wall. That is real work and we charge for it. You will know before we start.
No trip-charge games, no discovering a bigger number after the van is in the driveway.
We are based in Pepperell and the crew comes from around here. We know which streets are on town water and which are on wells, which neighborhoods have the old copper and which have the poly that keeps failing, and what happens to an unheated crawlspace in a Nashoba Valley January.
We work Pepperell, Groton, Littleton, Westford, Acton, Carlisle and Chelmsford.
One thing worth clearing up: we are not Ferguson Plumbing Supply. Ferguson Plumbing Design Inc. is an independent, family-owned Massachusetts company with no connection to the national supply house that shares the name.
