The Plumbing in a Pepperell Home

You will find plenty of fine historic homes in Pepperell as well as newer neighborhoods on the rise. The older homes in particular tend to have plumbing that is past its prime and in need of some updating for the sake of reliability. A pro can fix any issues with galvanized pipe, an old boiler, or worn faucets. And if you are undertaking new construction or a remodel, it makes sense to install modern fixtures that will perform better and use less water than what you had before. Our licensed staff has the know-how to handle both the historic and the contemporary with the proper care.

What the neighbours say

Sixty-six reviews, and not one of them bought.

A five-star average across sixty-six Google reviews is not an accident and it is not a marketing budget. It is what happens when the diagnosis is honest, the price is quoted before the work starts, and nobody on the crew earns a commission for selling you a replacement you did not need.

I’ve needed this Spicket on the front corner of my house for over two years, I’ve reached out to three different plumbers in the area and no one even bothered to show, not only did Joe respond quickly. He was at my house immediately the next morning and had it done right about the same time he promised it would be done without any leaks or problems. I highly recommend you try Ferguson Plumbing out if you have any problems or need any additional plumbing work.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I highly recommend Ferguson Plumbing Design of Parrish and especially Joe, the owner. A neighbor recommended Joe after he had used him to correct plumbing work another plumber had done wrong. He told me Joe was knowledgeable, honest, and a great guy—and he was absolutely right. I had several plumbing projects and Joe came out right away. He offered excellent suggestions and clearly knew what he was doing. The real test was our master bathroom sinks. We had very low water pressure that two other plumbers had tried and failed to fix. One even told us we would need to replace both faucets. Joe looked at the problem and fixed both sinks within minutes! No unnecessary replacement, no runaround—just experience and the right solution. If you need a plumber who is knowledgeable, honest, responsive, and highly competent, call Joe at Ferguson Plumbing Design. He will be my first call for any plumbing work in the future. Five stars without hesitation! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

If I could give SIX stars I would! Helped try to narrow down the problem by video call. Turned out to be a 30-second fix when they got here, but they only charged me the dispatch fee (under $50!)

Quick response to our plumbing problem and diagnosis and fix were done within an hour. Friendly, knowledgeable plumbers took care of the situation right away.. Asked for information about a future project and the response to that request was immediate.

Diagnose first

Hot water taking forever? You almost certainly don't need a new heater.

Nine times out of ten it is a dip tube, a thermostat, a sediment load or a mixing valve: a part, not a tank. Replacing the whole heater is the easy sale. It is usually the wrong one.

$99 if tools come out

Cameras, meters, pressure tests. If finding it takes real equipment, it is $99, and you hear that before we start.

The repair itself is priced before we touch a wrench. Outside business hours, the emergency rate is quoted on the phone before a truck rolls.

Finished high-end bathroom remodel, plumbing by Ferguson Plumbing Design
Why Ferguson

Serving Massachusetts since 2008.

Joe Ferguson built this company on the jobs other outfits walk away from. The boiler nobody could balance. The manifold that had to be rebuilt from scratch. The leak three plumbers could not find.

That is still the work we are known for. It is also why the everyday calls get done right the first time.

Recent work.

Copper manifold and boiler

The details you never see are the ones that last.

Straight runs. Labelled valves. Copper that is swept, not crammed. Nobody photographs the inside of a wall, which is exactly why it tells you who did the work.

Plumbing in this town

Older houses, harder water, and four real seasons.

Pepperell has plenty of fine historic homes alongside newer neighbourhoods still going in. Each puts a different demand on the plumbing, and both are daily work for us.

Weather and ground conditions

Your plumbing in northern Massachusetts has to stand up to all four seasons. In the winter, cold snaps can freeze pipes that are not well protected. Come spring, the snowmelt and rain will raise the water table in the Nashua River watershed, and a basement might see more moisture around the foundation, so having a sound sump and drainage system is key. Then there is the matter of hard water from private wells; the minerals will eventually take their toll on a water heater or clog up fixtures. We recommend regular upkeep to nip small problems in the bud and keep the hot water running well.

Repairs and installations done right

We like to be straightforward about what a project entails and offer solutions that hold up. Be it gas line work, a new toilet, or an upgrade to your entire heating system, we will get it done. If your equipment is wearing out, we can advise on whether it is worth the money to fix or if replacement is the wiser course. All of our installations are done with an eye toward long-term reliability.

Working in a town with character

There is something to be said for working somewhere like this: taking in the Covered Bridge, or an evening on the patio at The Dam Grille when the weather is fine. But between summer humidity and winter snow, homeowners here need to know their systems will actually perform. That is the job.

Three offerings. One standard.

01

High-End Remodel & Design

Kitchens, primary baths and the fixtures you actually notice. We do the design plumbing other contractors sub out, to a finish standard you can look at up close.

02

Commercial

Restaurants and multi-site accounts that cannot afford to be closed. Scheduled maintenance, fast response, and one number that always gets answered.

03

Service & Repair

Water heaters, boilers, drains, leaks and the January burst pipe. The bread and butter, handled by people who have seen your exact problem before.

Where we work

Serving all of the Community

There is something to be said for working in a town with as much character as this one. We make time to appreciate the history here, whether that is taking in the view of the Covered Bridge or putting in an appearance at The Dam Grille for a meal on the patio when the weather is fine. But come the humidity of summer or the snow in winter, homeowners need to know their systems will perform.

Don’t put your plumbing in the hands of chance. For professional service and the sort of customer care we are known for, look no further than Ferguson Plumbing Design. Give us a call to arrange a service for a boiler or water heater, or to talk through a project. We are here to help you and the rest of the surrounding Mass communities stay comfortable.

Relative positions and honest drive times from our home base in Pepperell. Schematic, not to survey scale.

Straight answers, no runaround.

What does it cost to get someone out here?

$49 dispatch. If we can see the problem, there is no diagnostic fee on top of that. If we have to break out tools to find it, the diagnostic is $99. You will know which one applies before we start.

Do you answer calls?

Yes. Office hours are Monday to Friday 7 to 6 and Saturday 7 to 3, and the phone is answered any hour, any day. Call whenever it happens and we will tell you honestly whether it needs a truck that night or first thing in the morning.

My hot water takes forever. Do I need a new water heater?

Usually not. Most slow-hot-water calls come down to a dip tube, a thermostat, sediment or a mixing valve. We diagnose before we quote a replacement.

Do you help with Mass Save rebates?

Yes. Heat pump water heaters and high-efficiency heating equipment carry real Massachusetts rebates. We will tell you what your job qualifies for before you commit to anything.

Do you work on well water systems?

Yes. A lot of the Nashoba Valley is on wells, and well water brings its own problems: iron, hardness, sediment and pressure. Water treatment is a core part of what we do.

Are you the same company as Ferguson Plumbing Supply?

No. Ferguson Plumbing Design Inc. is an independent, family-owned Massachusetts plumbing company. We are not associated with the national supply house that shares the name.

Share your preferred time. We'll confirm the details.

Tell us what is going on and when suits you. We will come back with a time, not a runaround.
